Panasonic HDC-SD9

The Panasonic HDC-SD9 continues the Panasonic line of AVCHD camcorders relying on SD cards for video storage. The most notable change between the previous model, Panasonic HDC-SD5, is the addition of a 24p shooting mode, which presumably is in response to the popularity of the Canon HV20, which was first to market with 24p HD shooting. Another notable difference between the HDC-SD9 and previous models is size - Panasonic has managed to dramatically shrink the camera body, which may or may not be a good thing depending on the size of your hands. If you’re tripod mounting your camcorder, you won’t notice a huge difference either way. Panasonic continues to offer the only consumer high definition camcorders with 3CCDs instead of CMOS imaging.
