Recently my Sony Digital 8 camcorder crashed and im in the middle of making a video. I need a way to upload the video i have already recorded with my Digital 8 camcorder. The only thing i can think of is buying a camera, uploading the video, and returning the camera back to the store. I cant find any Digital 8 camcorders so I may have to use a Hi8 camcorder. Will this work??

A Hi8 camcorder will not playback Digital8 tapes. You'd need to track down a Digital8 camcorder or Digital8 playback deck in order to get the video. Target often has Digital8 cameras in stock, if not, an ebay search for Digital8 turns up tons of camcorders.

If you had the opposite problem you'd be in luck. Hi8 tapes will playback on Digital8 camcorders.
