Why don't I hear any audio when I load in a DV video in Adobe Premiere Pro?

Why don't I hear any audio when I load in a DV video in Adobe Premiere Pro?

The video works but there is no audio coming out of speakers. The audio will work though if I click on edit. I also tried inserting an mp3 into Premiere and there was no audio for that either. Thanks
