Default What's better a DV camcorder or a DVD camcorder?

Am lookin to buy a camcorder, but i want to be able to edit my film on the PC. So which one would be better?

The DV is better.The DV format is uncompressed so will xfer to your computer in its original high quality. You can then edit it and burn to a cd or dvd in any format or quality that you desire. In its original form you will put approx 30 mins of high quality film on to a DVD.The DVD type camera will compress your film down to dvd quality and will give you various qualities dependent on your pre set selction which means already you have lost some quality in doing this.As in all things there are provisos. All camcorders can vary in its recorded quality. Depends how much you are prepared to pay.Read reviews in magazines or internet search engines to help you make a decision.
