Final Cut Pro 6.The best there is. But pretty much expensive.

Why would you want to pay so much?But, yeah its Final Cut.

The most expensive video post-production SOFTWARE I know of is Avid Xpress Pro. It should cost you around $2,000, but I have to say its pretty worth it. Very powerful encoding and inter-format editing.You could also go for Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro. They both are around $800. They're pretty much both the same. Except Premiere also comes with Encore DVD.And I do not mean to offend anyone, but please, listen and pay attention to the answer that seems most logical and comes from a person with at least some knowledge of filmmaking Hope I helped, and good luck with all your future projects, fellow filmmaker

In my opinion, final cut is the best video editing software.
