If you want high quality, this is what you want to look for:Medium:You should at least go for an HDD camera, but compression is still significant. If quality is important for you, you're pretty much limited to MiniDV tapes, which have awesome quality.Camera itself:For highest quality, you want either a 3CCD camera or a CMOS camera. These describe the sensor, which captures the light and therefore what you are filming. 3CCD cameras have one charged coupling device for each colour of light (red, green and blue), whereas CMOS, a newer technology, can achieve this with only one. Cheaper cameras tend to have only one CCD, which means a drastic loss in quality. You can also look into HD cameras, but in your price range and for your needs, I don't think it's necessary. |
