i have just recently purchased a laptop with an inbuilt web cam.when i start the camera or start recording can anyone on the internet see me? or only people with web cams?Do people with web cams see? can anyone see me?i don't want them too. is the camera/video allways switched on?

nobody can see you except yourself, unless your using it on a website or something.

You can switch it on or off. Im guessing you have an ibook maybee. but yeah they should only be able to see you if you give consent to connect with them in a web chat. So the answer is no one can see you unless you connect with them or accept their connect request.

well anyone can see you but thats only if u want them to. u have to go through the settings for the web cam and find out how u turn it on and off

I can see you with mine right now lol. No you need to use it with a software applcation of your choice for it be active, i use Skype which is pretty cool.

usually it will ask you if you wantto turn it on, like at a website. Also, most laptop webcams have a light that goes on when the camera is on.

We can all see EVERYTHING you are doing. No, just kidding. You can turn it on and off, as you like. But keep your pants on, in case I'm wrong.
