Default Is there any way possible to connect a firewire to an IBM Thinkpad T43?

I really want to connect with my Sony handycam so I can edit video. But I don't see any way to get the video footage to my Thinkpad. I'm really curious whether there are any converters, adapters, etc. out in the market, or any other tricks anyone would be willing to share. I'll give you huge props if you help me out.

A PCMCIA card with FireWire is the best option. Typically they include both 4-pin and 6-pin ports on the card, so you'll have the option of either using a 4-pin to 6-pin FireWire cable or a 4-pin to 4-pin FireWire cable.
