Default Sony HandyCam HDR-SR5 File Handeling Problems

Hey There,

I bought this cam a while ago, took it for vacation, unfortunatly since the HDD is only 40GB, and i was recording in High Definition mode, it was getting full quickly, so what i did was plug it to my laptop, and copy all the files and folders in the cam to a folder in my laptop! i did it around 3 times, now the problem is, i need to put them back to the cam so i can view them on TV. but everytime i copy the files and folders to the same location they were originally, the cam dont recognize them.

please help.. anyone!

The problem is the camcorder uses a very specific file structure for organizing videos for playback. You need a marker file that tells the camera where to find the actual video and the video file in order to get the camcorder to play back the video.
