Please help!!!? Ok well like my family and I were watching home videos of when I was small and like all of a sudden some TV show pops on and like recorded almost all the home video tape! Now my dad thinks it was me cause it was MTV!! I am so sad right now I feel like killing myself cause no more home videos of when I was little! And my dad was like screaming at me even though I didn't do it. Is here anything I could do to erase the TV shows and get back the homevids back!!! Please I'm so desparate!The homevids are on a VHS tape

If the tapes were overwritten, there is absolutely nothing that you can do...I'm sorry.

unfortunately, no.if it recorded a TV show it couldn't have recorded you at the same time. I'd say that somebody took your homevid tape, and without knowing that there were home videos of you on it, assumed it was blank, and popped in the VCR and recorded their TV show. This means that if teh TV show was 30 min, it erased 30 min of you off the tape to make room for the show. either that or the parts of you were overwritten by the TV show. I know, it sucks but at least you have a little bit of you on the tape
