The first one on the list is the best. It has the ability to take 4 MP still photos also. The zoom is not as far as the others but the quality will be so much better.Also, Sony does make the best DV cams. Canon makes the best still - photo cameras.You couldn't go wrong with a gift like this. But I would get the first one on the list if you want the best of the three.Good luck!!
