My wife and I decided to move into video and attendedan amazing course. The lecturer had just won first prize at the Berlin Film festival.

After spending months looking for a camera I am more confused than ever.
I love Canon SLR cameras but am not too sure about Canon and video.

I am looking for something that takes shots like the Panavision GS 15 or GS 230 as it seems to have an excellent depth of field and gives pretty sharp pictures. I suppose there are newer versions out.

What I want is the ability to add an external mike and output to headphones.
The media is not that clear either. Maybe a big hard disk would be helpful but not important. Since most of the new cameras use a CMOS sensor maybe that would be a good idea.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would recommend you to go fore GS 230. I have also tried this and got very good results so i would also like you to go with this model.
