| HI I work for a security company-Get yourself a cheap camera from ebay or whatever-as long as you've got a tv that takes an AV input-the camera can go straight into that-saves you buying a dedicated CCTV monitor(you will obviously have to purchase the relevent connectors etc though.Regards Richard U |

| Ok firstly for a deterrent you could always get a fake one, be warned though, the way to tell a dummy camera every time is it has a blinking red light. All fakes have it and its a tell tale sign. My recommendation is don't connect a battery. If you are going for a real camera straight off do a search on www.froogle.com to see cheapest in your area - have a look through the Argos book or Maplin Electronics if you are in England (some cheap ones there) or have a browse through radioshack if you are in US. Also check on e-bay. Don't forget because you are in a shop you can probably claim the VAT or Tax back. |

| you can get fairly good quality CCTV camera's from alot of places now days at a cheap price ie £100+ however it depends on what you need it for, as a deterant or for evidence.some cheap camera's are ok for watching on a monitor live. but forget it f you want to record images. & as for evidence courts wont accept them.i use a Colour CCTV Camera dome & DVR unit that records high Quality live time footage for only £350 & that has been accepted as evidence. try shopping around.Dont forget if its for a business its tax deductabletry some of these links for a start www.maplin.co.uk |

| I recently got 4 cameras a splitter box and a processor for less than £250. the cameras are Passive infra-red and connect to a normal video/dvd recorder.they only record when triggered so don't fill tape or dvd time. and are also colour. got them at Wicks's connected everything myself easily of the instructions. hope this helps.
