Does anyone know of any 3rd-party editing software available for mpeg-2 recordings?

If you need a free solution to edit MPEG-2 video, VirtualDubMod can do most of what you'd need. Otherwise, apps like Nero, Sony Vegas, Pinnacle Studio, Roxio Easy Media Creator and several others will all work with MPEG-2 files.
