Default line in...

First post.

I just bought a Chase Cam (usual disclaimer- no affiliation, ect.) to record my AutoCross runs and I am in need of a camcorder that has a "video line in" feature. I would also like a IEEE 1394/FireWire port to connect said camera to Mac. Does anyone still make camcorders with "video line in"?

Thanks

Jay

Because of the type of connection that uses, and because of the potential damage from vibration, I'd think using ChaseCam's own recorder would be the safest bet. It's a little more expensive than a camcorder would be, but it's got no moving parts. The killer for most camcorders is the vibrations destroy them.
