My camcorder died this week. I have over 5 years of Hi8 tapes I need to transfer to other media. Since the camcorder is dead I can not play anything. I need to replace the camera AND have a player for the Hi8 tapes. I do not want to buy an old camera and then have to by a new one shortly also. Is there a simple solution, like a Hi8 player/adapter?

What are your ideas on this?
