Default I want to connect my Samsung 8MM Camcorder SCL906 NTSC HI 8 to my laptop....

...Is there a way? do i have to use a s-video or something, i really need HELP. I have a Toshiba laptop

you only need a usb if you have one.

When you bought the cam recorder, it should have come with a USB connector which you connect to the cam and the laptop. all laptops are almost the same but sometimes u need a little extension onto the USB wire to plag into your laptop.

It depends on what you have on your laptop for inputs... even if you do not have any video in you can use producs designed for this, Dazzel, ADS, and Q See all make adapters that take standard AV cables (like on a VCR, DVD player, and TV) and converts them to USB. You can find these devices at Walmart, Best Buy and tigerdirect.com
