I can't capture video thru firewire becoz of Windows service pack 2.?

I can't capture video thru firewire becoz of Windows service pack 2.?

The cam is recognized but when capturing there is no preview and when im done, the video file is corrupted. How come? I tried capturing from three computers with Windows XP service pack 2 but with no avail. I tried it with a computer with XP service pack 1, i was successful. What's the Problem?
