I bought a used camcorder.No ac/dc adapter.bought new adapter,is it pos. or neg.

polarity?memorex crd0050? contacted memorex they wouldnt help.The universal adapter came with the right end,except turn it one way it is pos. polarity.Turn it the other way it is neg polarity.
