The job...5 - 3min videos, made up of 150 photographs, which I have to scan scanned first.The question is, per hour, how much should I charge " a friend?"Sorry, forgot to mention these 5 videos will be set to different pieces of music.

I am a professional editor and the going non-friend rate should be around 150-200$ an hour, just for editing existing footage. For finished video the standard is $1,000 a finished minute of video, including shooting, music, output... Since you are making slideshows, with music...it would depend on how good a friend they are I guess! hehe.... Your time is money...I usually have a good friend rate...which is 1/4 what is normally charged...
