How to edit a DVD using Adobe premiere - how do I get the footage onto my computer?

Ive recorded all my travelling videos from camcorder onto a DVD. How do I open this dvd in Premiere? Are there any really good tutorials? All I need is to work out this step of transferring the dvd footage onto my computer. Cheers.
