Thread: How do I download video from my Sony Handycam camcorder onto my computer?

I cannot figure out how to get my videos onto my computer so I can save them and re-record new videos onto my tapes. I read the whole instruction manual and there is nothing explaining how this is done. Does anyone have this same camera that can give me a little help?

Well, I had the some problem and I happened to call customer service..there is purchasing a product involved..what you do is go to your nearest best buy or whatever and ask for an i.link wire for your handycam..they should supply one for about under 40 bucks...and make sure that you've kept all the software from the camera or else the wire would be useless....if you have the wire AND the software...download the software and then restart your computer....then, look for something called "Import from Handycam (Tape) " Click on that and you'll probably know what to do next.
