Default How do i connect a cannon Zr500 mini dv camcorder to my computer without having a
dv port? I Dont have anything but a usb port on my computer and i have a dell dimension 3000 desktop computer if there is a way to connect please list the things that can help me connect it

The best solution is to spend the $20 on a FireWire card to install in your computer. If that's not an option, your next best bet is to buy a Pinnacle MovieBox that has a built in FireWire port. The MovieBox connects to your PC via USB, which means you can connect the camera to the MovieBox and then connect the MovieBox via USB.
