Im planning on mounting my camera to the side of my car for a track event. But wind noise will be unbearable. Someone ran a microphone though the car, out the trunk and taped to the rear bumper. That should work for what i need, But i do not know which one is compatible with this cam. And which one has a long enough cable to do so.

could someone help me out?

Also: I need to protect the camera when on the track, do they make enclosures for the XR500V's?
