I recently tried connecting my digital video camera to PC with firewire cable (worked well many times before!!) and now suddenly it appears as if the camera wasn't plugged in at all. I'm trying to make an animation in the Stop Motion program and as I start the program, the note reads "no video device found. Check if your camera is on". I checked everything, the cable is plugged in, the camera is on, I don't know what else to try really.. can anyone of you suggest a solution? I have a Sony handycam

sonds like firewire device on computer died... check your drivers and download new if available. otherwise, get firewire card and install.
