Default Can a MiniDV camcorder still import videos to a computer through a USB?

Can a MiniDV camcorder still import videos to a computer through a USB cord? Or do I need extra equipment for that? Which camcorder should I buy if all I want is to take videos and import them onto the computer so I can edit and then upload.

if the camera is made to import videos thru a USB 2.0 connection, then it will work fine, as long as you also have a USB 2.0 card. USB 2.0 is just like regular USB, only faster. I think most cameras come with Firewire, in which case you will also need a Firewire card in your computer. Firewire is another type of connection but it can carry larger loads of information. I would recommend a Firewire camera because it will be more stable when you capture your videos. Good luck!!
