i have an aiptek Camcorder I bought in 2006 at Best Buy and I recently got a new Dell computer - Inspiron 531s and I wanted to hook up my camcorder to it and get the pictures off it , I followed these instructions exactly and I could not find the removeable disk drives . I searched the entire computer and couldn't find anything . Does antone have any suggestios ? Thanks .

To d/l pics & videos on Windows XP or Vista you do not need to install the
driver.

Simply follow these steps:

Make sure to always turn the camera on before connecting.

Also, before connecting, you may need to set the camera to Disk Mode.

To choose Disk Mode, press the mode button, select Settings and then scroll
down to USB mode and select the Disk Mode option.

Once Disk Mode is selected, you can then connect it.

Once connected, look in My Computer for (2)Removable Disk Drives that
represent your memory card and the camera's internal memory. (You can then
search these locations to locate/transfer your files to a folder on your
computer)

Do you have a memory card reader that you could test the card in instead? That would be a potentially easy solution for any memory card you are using in the camera.

When you open My Computer, what drives are listed?
