Default windows media player dll verson is always wrong

Every time I try to download an e-mail that contains a video I get the
following message: wmpbc. dll has a version number of 11.0.6000.6344 where
11.0.6000.6336 was expected. Then it asks me if I want to reinstall windows
media player. I click yes but it still doesn't work. Help, kathy

Courtesy of Zachd (a Microsoft employee):

Type cmd in the Start Search box above the Start Orb. When cmd.exe appears at
the top of the Start Menu, right click on it and select "Run as Administrator".

Then type (or copy and paste) the following in the Command window:

unregmp2.exe /UpdateWMPVersion

and press Enter.

Then restart your machine.
