Why does Windows Explorer (Vista) freeze up everytime I try to read the media
card from my camera. Files from my camera are typically .NEF format (Nikon
Raw), however it also happens when I shoot .jpg. I'd like to be able to use
Explorer to move pictures from my media card to hard drive.

What's the fault bucket data for that according to the Problem Reports and
Solutions Center control panel?

I believe Nikon has an updated 'Nikon raw' codec - you might want to check
with them for that.
