Default Vista Media Player 11

How do I change the library file location from my hard drive to an external
hards drive?

If you're talking about the library database, that's not supported.
If you're talking about where to keep your music files, change the Rip
location in WMP's Tools:Options:Rip menu dialog. =)

When I try to change the rip to location I get the message

"The selected folder is not available. Verify that you have the correct
permissions to add files to the folder."

What do I do?

The folder is, My Music located at I:\Documents and Settings\Douglas
Brown\My Documents.

Is that folder accessible via Explorer?
Where is that folder located? Is that a mapped location? Is it on the
local hard drive?
