Default track information missing when playing cd in wmpl 11

When i play a cd that has been copied from my other computer on my laptop it
only displays track number.I wanted to rip a cd to my laptop but there is no
information.the music on the cd was downloaded from a programe on the
internet then added to wmpl then burned to a cdr disc.
could the problem be that the music has been download. then copied i also
am conected to the internet when playing cd on my laptop, as this is a cdr
with diffrent artist on it would i have to enter each track information
manually,if so is there another way i can transfer my music with track
information
My other computer is xp and wmpl10 i dont know if this would make a
diffrence when i play cd on my xp computer the track information displays i
take it this is because information is stored on the computer.
am quite new to computing so nothing to technical in your replys
Thank you

WMP burnt Audio CDs only have metadata on the source computer. On a
destination computer you would need to manually enter the track information.

If you want to transfer songs between computers, try burning as a Data CD.
