In xp I used to be able to sort my pictures by date modified. In vista I
seem to only be able to sort by date taken. That's fine for pictures taken
w/my camera but not for my pictures downloaded from internet. Is there any
way to do this?

I assume you mean in Windows Explorer?
If you don't see the "Date Modified" column, just add it.
right-click on the "Name" column heading, and select Date "Modified"
You have a lot of flexibility in what info you want to see, and how to sort
it.
