| I bought a new laptop with Windows Home Pre. When I try to rip my music from the cd's that I made with my old pc (running xp home) it will not let me. It will play the music, but will not let me rip it to my new pc. Any suggestions? -- Mack |

| Thanks for the reply. The only thing it will let me do is listen. It will not copy. I can play and rip cd's from a cd that I bought in a store. I can download songs and it will rip and burn them. But the ones I burned on Windows XP will not rip or burn. Somehow I think the files are different. I have tried everything that I can think of. Thanks -- Mack "Edward" wrote: > > "idriveatitliest" <idriveatitliest@discussions.microsoft.com> schreef in > bericht news:43B9693D-3AAB-4A62-8FD4-88FDACAE50EE@microsoft.com... > >I bought a new laptop with Windows Home Pre. | What file format are the old files? Is this perhaps a data CD? If so, just copy them in Explorer. =) -- Speaking for myself only. See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.
