| How did you *break* WMP? You probably want to deal with that first. It's generally going to be pretty hard to break WMP in any way in which a reinstall would actually help, since resource protection should generally prevent anything dumb happening. The lone exception right now that I know of is SatelliteTVforPC 2006 which did something abominable to WMP, but that's no longer shipping. -- Speaking for myself only. See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info. | If I'm not wrong (some time passed and I'm not 100% sure) I installed a famous multimedia program trial that is marked as "VISTA READY", and then after a while unistalled all applications because of some problems with remote control (an original HP remote I got with the PC, a Pavilion 3510.it). BTW, HP still did not release the driver update for the remote for VISTA, even if the Pavilion bear the logo VISTA CAPABLE. "zachd [MSFT]" wrote: > > How did you *break* WMP? | OK - do you recall what application it was ... ? At this point I'm only aware that a Vista reinstall would allow you to reinstall Windows Media Player. =\ -- Speaking for myself only.
