What changed on the system previous to this happening? Did you install any
new software such as SatelliteTVforPC 2006?

I have the same exact symptoms, media player worked... then i installed
limewire pro... no media player wont open. I know limewire pro... i
uninstalled it, rebooted. WMP still wont open. How do i do a reinstall/repair
on WMP11 in vista?

Do a System Restore (use Windows Help and Support for guidance) to a point
before you installed limewire.
