| Hi everyone, I've been having no problems using Movie Maker to make a wmv video and then sucessfully viewing it later. Today, however when I click on a wmv title it will start playing as I see the line moving and there is a sanp shot screen of the movie being played. However there is NO video but audio is there. This happens to All wmv files I have now. Mpg, avi etc work just fine. I run Windows Vista Premium and just now updated the tuner driver but to no avail. What would make this happen all of a sudden? Thanks, Big_John |

| Sorry Big Joh BC, i do not have a sollution. I have the same problem.. Just out of the blue i have problems with playing back all kinds of WMV in Mediaplayer 11. downloaden ones, self created wmv HDWMV you name it. Even AVI files with not a 3:2 aspect ratio are played back horrible. extreme pushed in or streched beyond limits... when i use to play other mediasoftware to play the files...all is well... but hey i want to use WMP... ( isn't that silly) does anyone have some advice ? perhaps reinstalling WMP11? but that seems impossible... Help wanted "big_john_bc" wrote: > Hi everyone, I've been having no problems using Movie Maker to make a wmv > video and then sucessfully viewing it later. | I do and also updated drivers from Intel for that but to no effect. | Yep, and I was able to blindly guess that you had that since this seems to be a common problem with their current drivers. I would suggest either regressing to a previous version of the driver or talking to Intel support here, who should be able to fix you up. -- Speaking for myself only. | Unfortunately there is no previous version to go to on my system. I note that I can play videos properly PRIOR to editing with Windows Movie Maker but lose the video portion after editing and it becomes a wmv file "zachd [MSFT]" wrote: > > Yep, and I was able to blindly guess that you had that since this seems to > be a common problem with their current drivers. | did a role back on the Intel Media Graphics Adapter drivers and the problem is gone. problem seems to be in the video overlay optio. Latest drivers tries to use the hardware for video overlay, the older version ( march 2007) doesn't and is software driven... thanks ZachD ! | It seems to be the video player itself. I Pause the video...Right click on the "Now Playing" tab at the top..Click "Enhancements"...Click "Video Settings" and the video properly plays but with the video settings controls always showing. If I click X on the panel the Video Settings disappear BUT so does the video. Only the sound remains.
