| Windows Vista. I am trying to import multiple projects into the Windows Movie Maker. I see in the help where I can import multiple clips, but that doesn't seem to work with multiple projects. I have these projects (3 of them) made at different times, that I want to import into the Movie Maker so I can do the editing. If I edit one, then try to import the second it REPLACES the 1st. I have tried dragging and dropping on the timeline, but again it just replaces whats there. Is there a way to have all three projects import into the timeline at the same time? Now I can import the first, then open the 2nd and 3rd projects and drag and drop on the timeline, but thats allot more work this way, And when it's all done, there will probably be 2-3 more projects. If the Movie Maker is not capable of this, can you recommend a commercial (or other) program that will import multiple projects? Thanks for any assistance ...Chip.. |

| There are no other programs that can use Movie Maker project files.... you have two choices... 1.. render each of the projects to movies and import the 3 movies as source files for your larger project. 2.. copy and paste the contents of the 3 projects to a single project.... use standard Windows copy/paste commands and toggle back and forth between the projects as needed. Use Control-A to select all the clips on the timeline > Control-C to copy them > Control-V to paste them into the other project. Two or three trips between each project will get them all into you combined large one. -- website references are to www.papajohn.org PapaJohn (MVP) "Charles Shapiro" <cshapiro2@cox.net> wrote in message news:740C68A4-B75F-4BE6-9F9E-8C598A782A7E@microsoft.com... > Windows Vista. > > I am trying to import multiple projects into the Windows Movie Maker. | Thank You. The first two I knew I could do, but that was allot more editing. Your 3rd point is the one as most of the clips have been edited and this will make it quite a bit easier. ...Chip.. | good luck with it Chip... I considered the 3rd paragraph as part of the 2nd point, just more detail about what I mean by standard copy/paste commands. -- website references are to www.papajohn.org PapaJohn (MVP) "Charles Shapiro" <cshapiro2@cox.net> wrote in message news:13A20703-F2B9-4226-A414-3046B6CEF5A1@microsoft.com... > Thank You.
