| While on EBay or other classified ad websites when I see an interesting item, I used to right click on the photo and "save as" to my pictures file. Worked great on my last laptop with Win. XP. New Sony laptop with Vista...no luck at all. In Windows photo gallery the saved photos appear as generic thumbnails. When placing the cursor over the generic thumbnail the appropriate properties info appears, date, size, jpg, etc, but when double clicked they will not open. Tried opening with other programs Office picture manager, Paint, Vaio content viewer, etc...no luck. I'd appreciate very much any ideas / solutions. Eric. |

| There might be a conflict with your AV or security suite. Which firewall, anti-virus, anti-spyware or security suite is installed? There are some that cause problems which don’t always appear immediately. As a workaround you can use the Snipping Tool to capture the photo. See: Use Snipping Tool to capture screen shots. http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Win...605b41033.mspx "BwanaE" <BwanaE@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:A045C3BF-862A-4A8F-A911-2AD6AC677A1B@microsoft.com... > While on EBay or other classified ad websites when I see an interesting > item, > I used to right click on the photo and "save as" to my pictures file. > Worked > great on my last laptop with Win.
