| I've just bought a Samsung HMX R10! However, I know very little about HD camcorders and there's not as much info about these camcorders on the net as the Canon. Sanyo and Sony models. I've just started to use it with a very limited 1Gb SD card (can only get 8 mins of footage on it!) and am trying to save the footage onto DVD to play on my HDTV. 1. How do I convert the MP4 files this camcorder records so that I can play them on a standard dvd player? 2. Would the dvd files produced be SD, or could they hold HD content, but less content than a proper HDDVD? 3. Are DVDs the best way to backup/save (and obviousl be able to view) the footage I record or is it best to leave the files in MP4 format and just save them to a PC/HDD? 4. I've tried the playback direct from the camcorder to the HDTV and the clips play fine, but when I try to play the contents via the SD memory card on my PC (or even if I copy my files across to the PC) the footage is very slow/choppy. Why is this? I have invested in a Class 6 8Gb Transcend SDHC card and a mini HD cable to connect the camcorder to my HDTV via the HDMI port rather than the composite cable. Really looking forward to using it once I know how to properly. _________________ Utah Pergolas Utah Timber Frame Rent to Own Homes
