hi, i know that the built-in mic for the xr500v is very good. but i was looking at external mics and im interested in this one. Sony ECM-CG1 Gun Microphone.
im a noob, and avs wouldn't let me post url. but it will show up on amazon if you guys search it.

i was wondering if this will fit into the xr500v's shoe. its shoe is very wierd, because its under the camera surface and not on top.

also, is there anyway to flip the lcd screen upside down within the camcorder. this would be helpful with dof adapters. thanks for reply guys.
