What kind of camcorder should I get for making short movies? I've been looking around at many video camera options lately. I haven't owned one for a long time, and I want to start making 'shorts' with friends. I want something with good video quality, that preferably has a hot shoe option so I could attach a shotgun mic if wanted. I want something that also connects to a PC easily and I think I've settled on using a MiniDV format, as you can get tapes anywhere and they will be around for a long time.I seem to keep looking at the Canon HV20, as I've found sites where I can get it around $900. I've also seen some good Sony and Panasonic cameras. I want something around $900 or cheaper. Should I invest in an HD capable camera, or are there other non-HD cameras I could use with very good video quality, for a cheaper alternative (the cheaper in price, the better)? Thanks in advance for any answers. |
