Your problem sounds familiar. I had a similar problem, but the source was my (former) Internet Service Provider. They treated audio and video files as possible spam and would not permit anyone to send them as email attachments. Before you try some of the other ideas, check with your ISP to make sure they are not blocking you. If they are, none of the other ideas will matter.
